Ben Lousteau serves as the Interim Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance
at LSU Health Sciences Center-New Orleans.
Mr. Ben Lousteau has earned degrees in accounting and management as well as an MBA, from the University of New Orleans with a concentration in Health Care Management. He worked in Human Resources, prior to his employment at LSUHSC. In 1995, he joined LSUHSC to work in Governmental Relations. He has served in the School of Medicine since 1997, rising through the ranks as an Office Coordinator, Assistant Business Manager, and Fiscal Analyst before becoming the Executive Director of Fiscal Operations for the Dean's Office in 2015. In 2021, Mr. Lousteau was promoted to the Associate Dean for Fiscal Affairs for the School of Medicine where he was responsible for the school's $450M annual budget. He has tremendous knowledge of all aspects of the university's financial and administrative operations. He has worked extensively with the LSU Healthcare Network, the LSU Health Foundation and the School of Medicine Alumni Association. He has knowledge and experience in contract negotiation with our clinical partners and the university's financial and budgetary processes. Mr. Lousteau is well known within LSUHSC and the LSU Systems Office for his hard work and dedication.
