material were applied. The elevator sub-contractor has begun work on
installing the pit parts for the three elevators and
the new sump pump waste line serving the elevators
has been run. All of the required fire proofing material
has been applied to the new structural steel. The electrical contractor finished installing
electrical panel D1A and their crews continue
running new conduit. Outdated telephone and data wires were
removed from the telecom room on the 2nd Floor.
Crews finished
building the concrete forms for the roof of the new
electrical/mechanical enclosure at the rear of the
Student Residence Hall. The reinforcing steel was installed and the
concrete has been poured. Fifty feet of electrical conduit was laid in
the main driveway and the area has been back filled. The contractor installed a 6-inch roof drain
piping in the main driveway and back-filled the
area.
Workers partially removed an existing grade beam to
allow for the new electrical duct bank installation
in the main drive way and they continue installing
the new electrical duct bank.
At the Resource
Center, the breakers in two electrical panels in the
2nd Floor switchgear room were installed and the
contractor continues installing electrical conduit
in the 1st Floor ceiling for the electrical panels
on the 2nd Floor and in the 8th Floor electrical
room.
Crews have begun pulling wires in the new switchgear
room on the 2nd Floor and for the roof top
generator. Workers are insulating the chilled water
piping in the 2nd Floor pump room. The contractor removed one of four air
handling units from the 1st Floor mechanical room in
preparation for raising the unit. The first of the elevated platforms for the
AHUs has been installed, the concrete pad poured and
the AHU has been placed on the new platform. The elevator contractor continued removing
the pit parts from Elevators 1 and 2 while crews
laid CMU block for the elevators on the 1st Floor. A temporary shaft wall for Elevators 1 & 2
was constructed on the 1st Floor. The roofing contractor began erecting roof
curbs for the roof mounted emergency generator.
The ceiling tile
installation in the large conference room and the
Director’s Office on the 8th Floor of the Lions/LSU
Clinic Building has been completed. The new light shades were installed in the
elevator lobby and the Director’s office. LSUHSC Computer Services installed the
wireless access points in the renovated space. The lighting dimmer panel and the projection
screen in the large conference room have been
installed. The contractor installed cove base and doors
and painted the elevator soffit. Crews continue installing wall paper, wood
baseboard, wood ceiling tiles and the new millwork
throughout the renovated space.
The contractor built
the formwork and poured concrete for the concrete
curbs, islands, catch basins and sidewalks at the
new patient parking lot being constructed at the
Dental School. Protective bollards have been installed and
the parking area was given the final grading in
preparation for asphalt paving and the paving of the
