We are pleased to havereopened the upper floors of the MedicalEducation Buildingand the Lions/LSU Clinic Buildingtoday as planned! To address manyof the questions and matters of interest that faculty, staff and students may haveregarding the newly reopened buildings, important information is availablethrough the links provided below. Hereyou will find Dos and Donts for each building, the status of key parts ofthe building and campus infrastructure, etc. Please review this information and familiarizeyourself with it as you prepare to reoccupy space in these two buildings.
Additional updates on progress through the end of todayfollow:
- The environmental remediation contractor crews are still working on the 2nd and 4th floors of the MEB and spot cleaning in various mechanical rooms in the building. They are also cleaning the two small freight elevators and shafts in the MEB.
- The various elevator contractors continue to work on elevators in the CSRB, the Nursing/Allied Building, the Lions/LSU Clinic Building and the MEB. The whisper cables in the passenger elevators and the roller guides on the freight elevator in the Nursing/Allied Health Building have been replaced.
- The contractor making repairs to various building pumps has installed the new gate valves (connected to the 1st two sump pumps) in the basement of Stanislaus Hall. They are now piping the 3rd and 4th sump pumps in the same building.
- Repairs have begun on the fire alarm panel system at the MEB.
