NOTICE: The first floor of the Dental School Clinic Building will be closed to foot traffic from 7:00 AM on Saturday, December 1st until 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 2nd.  We will be stripping and waxing the terrazzo floors on the 1st floor of the Clinic Building , making the normal entrances inaccessible during this entire time.  All foot traffic will be redirected to the exterior stair entrance leading to the second floor.  If you must access the building during this time period, please look for the signs that will direct entrance to the building.

Then on Monday, December 3rd, beginning at 6:00 PM the domestic hot and cold water will be shut down on the 7th floor of the Clinical Sciences Research Building .  Also, there will be no medical air on the 7th floor.  These services will be restored by 9:00 PM on Monday.  Please do not attempt to use any water or medical air on the 7th floor during this outage.  Please open no faucets, flush no toilets and open no medical air valves on the 7th floor during this 3 hour period.   This reduces the chance of any problems developing once the services are restored.

1542 Tulane Ave. :

• Arc Mechanical continued to work on repairs to the building soft water system.
• Siemens is installing smoke/fire detectors in the ducts on Floors 9 and 10.
• The new hoist cable has been installed on Elevator #8.
• Final Remediation and Duct Cleaning:
• Zimmer is mobilizing to the 7th floor and setting up containment barriers. 
• The ducts on Floors 1, 8, 9, and 10 have passed the visual inspection and samples were taken today.
• The contractor is still removing carpet on the 7th Floor.
• Zimmer continues to remove debris from the 4th floor.
• The contractor continues to remove the peeling paint and clean Suite 123 on the 1st Floor.
• They are preparing Suite 122 for remediation.

Dental School

• Elevators #6 and #7 in the Administration Building have been inspected and certified for normal use. 
• Schindler continues to work on Elevators #3 and #4 ( Clinic Building elevators) as well as the freight elevator.
