NOTICES:

Chilled Water Outage at the Residence Hall:  There will be a building-wide chilled water outage at the Residence Hall on Thursday, June 12th, from 6:00 AM to 12:00 noon so that a new air handling unit can be installed to serve the lobby.  Once the chilled water service is restored, all other air handling units and room units will begin to cool again.  However, the main lobby air handling unit will be out of service until June 18th.

Water Outage at the Resource Center :  There will be a building-wide hot and cold domestic water outage at the Resource Center Building on Friday, June 13th, from 6:00 PM until 11:30 PM.  During this outage there will be no water at any faucets, toilets or urinals in the building.  Please do not attempt to use any faucets, toilets or urinals during this time as it can cause problems when the water service is restored.

MEB Cafeteria Floor Work:  Starting on Friday, June 13th a contractor will be honing the cafeteria floor.  This sanding and polishing work will take approximately 8 days to complete.  The weekday work will start at 2:30 PM and end by 10:00 PM.  The weekend work on June 14th and 15th will be done between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.  The contractor will move the furniture from the area he is working in and will replace when his work is complete for that day.  The entire cafeteria floor will be completed by 10:00 PM on Friday, June 20th.

UPDATES:

1542 Tulane Ave.:

• Stratos continues to change the travel cables for Elevator #7.
• Zimmer-Eschette finished cleaning Room 109H, and the control room and storage room in the auditorium.
• The rooms passed visual inspection and were tested.
• Zimmer-Eschette is priming and painting the temporary mechanical room walls on the 6th and 7th Floors.
• Premier Source Inc. began detailing the terrazzo floor and ceramic base on the 8th Floor.
• Brooks Window Coverings finished installing the mini-blinds on the 5th and 6th Floors.
• Crews began installing new mini-blinds on the 3rd and 4th Floors.

Dental School :

• Premier Source Inc. has finished honing the terrazzo floors in the 2nd Floor elevator lobby and waiting area of the Clinic Building .
• Approximately half of the corresponding area on the 3rd Floor was also completed.

Lions /LSU Clinic Permanent Repair and Mitigation:

• Saw cutting continues on the ground level slab for new exterior stairwell on the front of the building.
• Dry flood-proofing of the pit for Elevators #2 and #3 continues.
• Electrical work is being done on the 2nd Floor.
• The work on the plumbing, mechanical, fire sprinkler and electrical systems continues on the 6th Floor.   Sheetrock is also being installed.
• A new natural gas line is being run on the 7th Floor for the new laboratory.

MEB 2^nd Floor Lobby Renovation:

• Zimmer removed the old floor tile from in front of Campus Office Stores close to the auditorium.
