NOTICE:  There will be a domestic water shutdown in the Medical Education Building beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 27th, 2008 and lasting until approximately 11:30 PM.  During this outage there will be no water at any faucets, toilets or urinals and we ask that none of these be used during the outage.  At the same time, the medical air and vacuum systems will be shut down in both the MEB and the Allied Health and Nursing – 10th floor.  We ask that the valves remain closed on these systems during this outage to avoid damage to equipment upon re-energizing the equipment.  We will be capping a water line on the roof as well as completing some service work in a lab.

1542 Tulane Ave. :

• The contractor is painting the ceiling and walls in the elevator lobby on the 1st Floor and doing touch-ups in the offices on the 8th Floor.
• Stratos finished wiring the penthouse controller for Elevator #7.
• They are installing lighting in the shaft for Elevator #4.
• The contractor delivered hoist cables and pit equipment for Elevator #4.
• Trison Constructors continues to install painted ceiling tiles to match existing finish on the elevator lobbies on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Floors.
• Premiere Source Inc. continues to detail the baseboards on the 5th Floor.

Residence Hall Renovations:

• Zimmer started the exterior balcony demolition adjacent to the walkway.
• The installation of the new AHU continues.

MDL #5 Renovations:

• The crews completed the demolition of the ceiling, lighting, and HVAC grilles.
• The contractor is marking the existing plumbing for demolition and is preparing to run new plumbing.
