The Resource Center Building
will be without elevator service on Friday, November 14th, from 6:15 PM to
midnight.This is to allow the
electrical contractor to rewire the power for the new elevator
controllers.Access to and from the 6th,
7th and 8th Floors of the RCB will be available by using the stairwell on the Gravier Street side
of the 2nd Floor lobby.
There will be an outage of the medical air and vacuum systems in the Lions/LSU
Clinics Building from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 15th.This outage is required in order to allow the
contractor to move the medical air and vacuum equipment to the new 2nd Floor
location.During the outage, please do
not attempt to use medical air or vacuum, as this can cause problems when the
systems are re-energized.
The general contractor continued making wall repairs in Room 545.
The electrical contractor continued installing new light fixtures in the parking garage.
Preparations continue for installation of the new light fixtures in the 1st Floor lobby.
The construction cleaning contractor continued cleaning offices on the 5th Floor that have failed inspection.
Crews are cleaning restrooms on the 6th and 7th Floors and offices on the 1st Floor.
Facility Services continued making minor repairs on various floors.
The new FedEx box was relocated to the vending machine alcove on the rear hallway of the 1st Floor.
DENTAL CAMPUS AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:
The general contractor installed support legs and the first tier of wood forming for the riser seating in Auditorium B.
The contractor floated the sheetrock walls in Auditorium A.
They installed sheetrock for the ceiling trough along the south wall in Auditorium A.
The electrical contractor installed junction boxes for the sconces on the west wall in Auditorium A.
Electricians installed the remaining power and data stub-ups for the riser seating in Auditorium B.
LANDSCAPING AND EXTERIOR WORK:
LSUHSC Facility Services completed planting shrubs and flowers in front of 1542 Tulane Ave.
The contractor installed a portion of the ceiling grid in the cafe area.
LSUHSC electricians installed light fixture supports in the large multi media room.
LIONS/LSU CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:
The glass subcontractor installed interior window frames on the south side of the 1st Floor.
The mechanical subcontractor excavated the existing storm drain along Gravier Street .
The steel subcontractor anchored surgical booms supports in the 6th Floor simulation room near the northeast corner.
The electrical subcontractor installed wiring for the lecture room projectors and projector screens on the north side of the 6th Floor.
They terminated station cables into the patch panels on the 7th Floor network closet.
The sprinkler subcontractor installed piping near the existing fire pump.
The contractor installed restroom wall tiles on the 6th Floor.
Crews installed additional door frames on the northeast side of the 1st Floor.
They plastered under the window frames on the north side of the 1st Floor.
MEB 2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:
The contractor installed a new fire sprinkler valve on the east side of the lobby.
MEB 6109 & 6148 LAB RENOVATIONS:
The contractor installed new ceiling tiles and relocated existing light fixtures.
RESIDENCE HALL LOBBY EXPANSION:
The contractor installed more steel clips on top of the new expansion roof and on the steel tube truss.
DOWNTOWN CAMPUS FENCE PROJECT:
The contractor installed vinyl chain link fence on the Gravier St. side of Stanislaus Hall.
