NOTICE:There will be a domestic hot water outage at
the Medical Education Building
from 6:00 PM to midnight on Friday, February 13th.During this outage, the water will be
available at the faucets, but it will not be heated.This work is needed to repair a leak and to
replace the steam shutoff valve.Since
the boilers are not affected by this outage, we will be able to maintain steam
to the Clinical Sciences Research Building autoclaves and
animal care cage washers.
1542 TULANE AVE. :
The general contractor began to install new sprinkler pipe in the 1st Floor lounge.
They and continued patching holes in offices on the 2nd and 3rd Floors.
The mechanical contractor continued piping new fan coil units on the 2nd and 3rd Floors.
LSUHSC Facility Services completed painting offices and hallways on the 4th Floor.
They began making repairs on the 3rd Floor and installing new door hardware on the 2nd Floor.
A crew continued pressure washing the Lakeside Lot.
DENTAL
6th & 8th FLOOR RENOVATIONS:
The flooring contractor honed terrazzo floor patches in Suite 8405 .
EXTERIOR/LANDSCAPING:
The contractor continued planting trees and spreading mulch in the lot at the corner of Gravier St. and S. Claiborne Ave. and installed the new brick paver sidewalk by the Gravier St. Garage entrance.
Facility Services prepared the blue, brown and purple lots for use by University Hospital during Mardi Gras.
LIONS/LSU
CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:
The mechanical subcontractor began installing the fuel lines in the east chase on Floors 1 and 2.
They installed control wire for AHU 1-4 on the 1st Floor, S. Prieur Street side.
The contractor grouted the floor tile on the 1st Floor, S. Prieur Street side.
Work continued on the installation of the 5th and 6th Floor curtain wall mullions on the exterior stairwell.
Crews continued taping and floating the elevator lobby and cleaning the granite wall on the 1st Floor.
The electrical contractor continued installing conduit in Room 910 and pulled wire for the new lights and receptacles in the old lab area.
LIBRARY
COMMONS:
The painting contractor touched up conduit in the black ceiling area.
The flooring contractor completed the subfloor prep for the installation of carpet.
They completed carpeting the large multi media room.
The contractor began installation of the composite wall panels in the small multi media room.

MDL 6 RENOVATION:
The contractor continued installing casework frame in the main MDL lab.

PHARMACOLOGY LAB RENOVATIONS:
The general contractor continued hanging sheetrock in the administrative area and taping and floating the lab area.
The electrical contractor began running lighting circuits in the administration area.
RESIDENCE
HALL LOBBY EXPANSION:
The interior contractor continued installing ceiling grid in the back corner lobby.
The enclosure contractor installed break metal on the underside of the new, expanded storefront along the Perdido Street side.
The flooring contractor started preparations for replacement of exterior brick pavers on the corner of Bolivar St and Perdido St .
