NOTICE:The domestic hot
water outage at the Medical Education Building
scheduled for tonight from 6:00 PM to midnight has been rescheduled for Friday,
February 20th.Some of the needed
supplies did not arrive as promised.
On Friday, February 20th, from 6:00 PM to midnight, the water will be available at the faucets in the MEB, but it will not be heated.This work is needed to repair a leak and to replace the steam shutoff valve.
Since the boilers are not affected by this outage, we will be able to maintain steam to the Clinical Sciences Research Building autoclaves and animal care cage washers.
1542 TULANE AVE. :
The mechanical contractor continued piping new fan coil units on the 2nd and 3rd Floors.
LSUHSC Facility Services continued repairs on the 3rd Floor and installing new door hardware on the 2nd Floor.
They began painting hallways on the 3rd Floor.
6th & 8th FLOOR RENOVATIONS:
The flooring contractor polished terrazzo floor patches in Suite 8405 .
Contractor laid sod and installed new benches in the lot at the corner of Gravier St. and S. Claiborne Ave.
CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:
The mechanical subcontractor continues installing one of the fuel lines to supply the roof mounted emergency generator in the east chase on Floors 2 through 9.
They continue installing control wire for AHU 1-4 on the 1st Floor.
The contractor installed doors and transoms on the 1st Floor, CSRB side.
Crews continued installing curtain wall mullions on the 5th and 6th Floors of the exterior stairwell.
Other continued taping and floating the fur down in the elevator lobby on the 6th Floor and cleaning the granite wall on the 1st Floor.
The flooring contractor completed installation of the carpet in the large study area.
The contractor continues installing and floating the composite wall panels in the multi-media rooms.
The painting contractor touched up conduit in the black ceiling area.
MDL 6 RENOVATIONS:
The casework contractor continues installing the casework frame.
The contractor roughed in the gas line for the new casework.
PHARMACOLOGY LAB RENOVATIONS:
The contractor continues hanging sheetrock and installing insulation in the administrative area.
They continue taping and floating the walls in the lab area.
The electrical contractor continued running lighting circuits in the administration area.
HALL LOBBY EXPANSION:
The enclosure contractor installed door and sidelight glass on the walkway leading to the Residence Hall.
The flooring contractor continued removing exterior brick pavers on the corner of Bolivar St. and Perdido St.
The interior contractor continued installing ceiling grid in the lobby between the A & B Towers .
