NOTICE:Beginning Wednesday, May 20th, at 6:00 PM,
the first of the three final power outages for the Lions/LSU Clinics Mitigation
Project will occur.
first electrical shutdown is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2009, from 6:00
PM to midnight.The normal power for the
entire building will be off during this period, but emergency power will be on
to maintain emergency lights and service to some specific equipment in the
building â€“ items that are plugged into the red receptacles.
A domestic hot and cold water outage. There will be no hot or cold water available at any faucet, toilet, or urinal in the building during the outage.Please refrain from using any water during the outage.
An air conditioning outage. There will be no air conditioning in the building, except in the 9th floor Animal Care, for the duration of the shutdown.
An exhaust fan outage. This will affect all fume hoods throughout the building.Please do not attempt to use any fume hoods or biocabinets connected to building exhaust.Also, please secure any chemicals that normally are exhausted.
A perchloric acid exhaust outage. This will affect all perchloric acid fume hoods.
A medical air and vacuum outage. There will be no medical air or vacuum at any valve in the labs.Please do not open any valves during the outage.
All normal lighting and normal power receptacles will be out of service.Please do not move equipment to emergency receptacles as this can cause overloading of circuits, damaging equipment and/or contents.
No elevators will operate.
1542 TULANE AVE. :
The contractor applied touch-up paint on the walls in the 1st Foor lounge and Auditorium.
The contractor installed the cabinets in the 2nd Floor lounge.
Facility Services continued electrical repairs and painting on the 2nd Floor.
CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:
The mechanical contractor installed the fixtures in the 1st Floor Bolivar St .restroom.
The contractor installed ceiling grid in the new stairwell on the 6th level.
HALL LOBBY EXPANSION:
The flooring contractor prepped the floor for tile installation.
2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:
The contractor installed wooden wall panels near the Womens restroom.
PHARMACOLOGY LAB RENOVATIONS:
The network wiring contractor continued pulling network wires in the lab area.
The contractor continued to install wire molding in the administrative and lab area.
HEATLH/NURSING RE-ROOFING PROJECT:
The contractor continued replacing the parapet wall cap along Bolivar Street .
AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:
The contractor installed the new tables in Auditorium A.
the electrical contractor wired the new transformers.
The flooring contractor installed carpet for the lower level in Auditorium B.
