NOTICE:
On Thursday, June 25th, from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM, there will be a chilled
water outage at the Clinical Education Building
- 1542 Tulane Avenue
to allow for replacement of several fan coil units.During the outage the building will have no
air conditioning.
NOTICE:
On Friday, June 26th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, the Fire Marshal will inspect
the fire alarm system in both the Dental
School Administration
Building and Clinic Building .The fire alarm contractor will make an
announcement to let building occupants know that the alarms are being tested
and that evacuation will not be necessary during these tests.The contractor will then activate fire alarm
devices in the recently renovated auditoriums.This will activate the fire alarm strobes and audible alarms (speakers
and horns) throughout both buildings.When testing has concluded, an announcement will be made so that all
occupants will know that the testing is complete.Because all areas of the buildings do not
have speakers, some occupants may not hear the announcements.
1542 TULANE AVE. :
The electrical contractor installed light fixtures on the 1st Floor.
The furniture contractor set up 2nd Floor offices along the center corridor.
Facility Services is repairing the drain line for the AHU in Room 235L.
EXTERIOR/LANDSCAPING:
Facility Services continued installing irrigation piping on the Bolivar Street side of the Roman Street parking garage.
Seven new trees were planted on the South Roman Street side of the MEB.
LIONS/LSU
CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:
The contractor installed new doors on the 1st Floor across from the security desk and worked on the punch list for the laminate and cabinets on the 6th Floor.
ALLIED
HEALTH/NURSING BLDG. RE-ROOFING PROJECT:
The contractor installed the sheet metal flashing along the MEB side.
LIBRARY
COMMONS:
The contractor finished installing the wall covering in the stairwell wall nearest the elevators.
The installation of additional wall covering is continuing.
RESIDENCE
HALL 2nd FLOOR LOBBY EXPANSION:
The contractor continued taping and floating walls in the recreation room.
The paint contractor painted the gypsum board ceiling in the expanded lobby area.
The flooring contractor poured self leveling concrete on both ends of the corner lobby area.

AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT:
Facility Services continues to monitor and adjust the C Quadrant 6th and 7th floor temporary units.
The contractor continued installing controls for air handling units 6D and 7D.
They continued installing ductwork, piping, and electrical for AHUs 6C and 7C.

2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:
The contractor completed the installation of wood wall panels.

MDL #3 RENOVATIONS:
The casework contractor continued installing frames in MDL 3.
Light fixtures were installed in Rooms 4108A and 4201A.
The contractor continued roughing in gas pipes for the new casework.
DENTAL SCHOOL
AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:
The contractor installed custom baseboard along the east wall in Auditorium B.
The A/V contractor installed additional components for the podium in Auditorium A.

Facility Services continued painting parking stall markings along Campus Road .
