Commons, located on the 3rd Floor of the Resource Center ,
will open tomorrow, July 15th, at 7:00 a.m.The Commons also houses a coffee bar serving Starbucks which will have
coffee, drinks, yogurt, pre-made salads, sandwiches and pastries.The coffee bar will operate from 7:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m.For tomorrow ONLY, "Buy a
cup of coffee and get a free chocolate covered strawberry."The Commons will be open 24/7 for LSUHSC

NOTICE:The Medical Education Building Air Handling
Unit Replacement project continues with the ongoing replacement of two air
handling units.The next two air
handling units to be replaced serve the South Roman Street/MEB Loading Dock
corner (quadrant A) of the 6th and 7th floors.Installation of these units will start at 6:00 PM on Friday, July 31st.
Facility Services needs to remove and relocate
the temporary power breakers for the temporary air conditioning units that were
set up for the Bolivar Street /
MEB Loading Dock quadrant.Consequently,
there will be an electrical outage on Thursday, July 16th, from 6:00 AM to 7:00
AM to remove the temporary breakers.During this outage there will be no power to equipment plugged into
receptacles in labs and offices that are served out of main panels DL6C and
DL7C.This affects panels LC6A, LC6B,
LC6C, LC6D, LC6E, LC6F, LC7A, LC7B, LC7C, LC7D, LC7E and LC7F.Receptacles are labeled in the labs,
identifying the panel that supplies the power to the receptacle.
On Friday, July 17th, there will be an
electrical outage from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM to install temporary breakers to
serve the power panels for the temporary air conditioning units in quadrant
A.During this outage there will be no

the continuing construction period, should there be any issue with the air
conditioning in your space, please submit a service request at http://bob.lsuhsc.edu or call 568-7715 and
provide your name, contact information, room number and description of the
problem.Occupants should not attempt to
adjust the temporary units on their own.
NOTICE:On Thursday,
July 16th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the Fire Marshal will inspect the fire
alarm system in the Lions/LSU Clinics Building.During this inspection, the fire alarm contractor will make an
announcement to let building occupants know that the alarms are being tested
and that evacuation will not be necessary during these tests.The contractor will then activate fire alarm
devices in the recently renovated areas.This will initiate the fire alarm strobes and audible alarms (speakers
and horns) throughout the building.When
testing has concluded, an announcement will be made so that all occupants will
know that the testing is complete.

Facility Services continued to apply touch-up paint in the 1st Floor offices.
The furniture contractor installed additional furniture in 2nd Floor offices.
EXTERIOR/LANDSCAPING:
Facility Services continued installing sprinklers on the Tulane Avenue side of the Roman Street Garage.
ALLIED
HEATLH/NURSING BLDG RE-ROOFING PROJECT:
The contractor continued installing aluminum flashing around the parapet wall on the Atrium along the Roman Street Side.
The contractor continues to install the lightning protection system.
LIONS/LSU
CLINIC PERMANENT REPAIRS AND MITIGATION:
The contractor began installing the elevator flood gates on the north side.
Workers installed breakers for the conference room tables on the 6th Floor.
Conduit was run to the MRI trailer location.
LIBRARY
COMMONS:
The contractor completed the stairwell handrail and punch list items.
Facility Services cleaned the Commons in preparation for opening.
The Library Commons will open tomorrow.
RESIDENCE
HALL 2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATION:
The millwork contractor began installing wood cladding around the mailboxes.
The interior contractor continued patching walls throughout the lobby.
The contractor painted walls and ceiling in the recreation room.

AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT:
Facility Services continued monitoring and adjusting temporary AC units for the B Quadrant (corner of Perdido Street and South Roman Street ).
The contractor completed installing the new air handling unit 7-B.
Crews continued installing new ductwork for air handling unit 6-B.
New air handling units 5-D and 4-D were delivered to the T-lot lay down area.

MDL #3 RENOVATIONS:
The network contractor continued terminating end connectors for network wires in the casework.
The casework contractor completed installing the remaining cantilever frame and countertops.

7th FLOOR LABORATORIES RENOVATION:
The contractor began demolition in Rooms 7221, 7241, and 7250.
DENTAL SCHOOL
AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:
The A/V contractor continued to install A/V equipment in Room 4202B and both auditoriums.
The electrical contractor continued to pull network wires for the tables in Auditorium B.
