NOTICE:  The Medical Education Building Air Handling Unit Replacement project continues.  The next two air handling units to be replaced serve the Perdido Street/Bolivar Street corner (quadrant D) of the 4th and 5th floors.  Installation of these units will start at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 21st.

The contractor needs to relocate electrical power conduits for these new air conditioning units.  Consequently, there will be an electrical outage on Monday, August 17th, from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM to relocate electrical conduits feeding emergency panel ELD5B.  During this outage there will be no power to equipment plugged into emergency power receptacles in 5th floor labs and offices on the Bolivar Street side of the building that are served out of main panel ELD5B.  Receptacles are labeled in the labs, identifying the panel that supplies the power to the receptacle. 

1542 TULANE AVE.:

• The plumbing contractor installed the kiosk water and drain lines for the 3 compartment sink. 
• The electrical contractor pulled wires for the kiosk refrigerator, coffee maker, and espresso machine. 
• The contractor repaired the floor in room 122F (Womens restroom).
• The contractor replaced broken windows in the 2nd Floor offices.

MEB AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT:

• Facility Services continued monitoring and adjusting the temporary A/C units in the A Quadrant (corner of South Roman Street and the MEB loading dock). 
• The contractor continued testing and balancing air handling units 6-A and 7-A.

MEB 7^TH FLOOR PHYSIOLOGY LAB RENOVATIONS:

• The contractor painted walls below the windows and the soffit in Rooms 7241 & 7250.

RESIDENCE HALL 2^nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:  

• The furniture contractor continued installing the security desk and the TV enclosure in the expanded lobby area. 
• The contractor patched walls across from the B & C elevators. 
• The contractor continued the installation of new doors by the Residence Hall managers office.

RESOURCE CENTER ROOF REPLACEMENT:

• The contractor removed the lighting protection system from the roof.

ALLIED HEALTH/NURSING BLDG ROOF REPLACEMENT:

• The contractor corrected the water pockets in the aluminum flashing on the atrium roof.
