NOTICE:  On Wednesday, August 5th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, the fire alarm will be tested in both the Dental School Administration Building and the Clinic Building .  The fire alarm contractor will announce the testing to let any building occupants know that the alarms are only tests and that it will not be necessary to evacuate the building during these tests.  The contractor will then activate fire alarm devices in the recently renovated auditoriums.  This will activate the fire alarm strobes and audible alarms in both buildings.  When the testing is concluded, an announcement will be made so that all occupants will know that the testing is complete.

 

1542 TULANE AVE. :

  • The painting contractor primed the walls in Room 122H and the corridor outside Room 122H.
  • The plumbing contractor installed the piping for the 3-compartment sink and hand wash sink at the coffee kiosk in the 1st Floor lounge.
  • The electrical contractor installed conduit for the data cables required at the vending area in the lounge.

 

ALLIED HEALTH/NURSING BLDG. ROOF REPLACEMENT:

  • The contractor installed the cap sheet at the side of the building on the atrium level.   

 

DENTAL SCHOOL AUDITORIUMS A & B RENOVATIONS:

  • The electrical contractor terminated additional network wires for Auditorium A.
  • The A/V contractor began programming the lighting and control panel for the podiums.

 

EXTERIOR/LANDSCAPING:

  • LSUHSC Facility Services began laying sod on the Tulane Avenue side of the S. Roman Street Garage.

 

MEB AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT:

  • Facility Services continued monitoring and adjusting the temporary A/C units in the A Quadrant (corner of South Roman Street and the MEB loading dock). 
  • The contractor continued installing the duct connections between the hot and cold deck and the air handling units 6-A and 7-A. 
  • Crews began the chilled water piping at AHU 6-A and piping in the condensate drains at 6A and 7A. 
  • Testing and balancing of AHU 6-B and 7-B continues.

 

MEB 4th FLOOR MDL #3 RENOVATIONS:

  • The contractor completed buffing and waxing the floors of the MDL lab.

 

RESIDENCE HALL 2nd FLOOR LOBBY RENOVATIONS:  

  • The flooring contractor installed carpet in the C Tower lobby area.
  • The network contractor continued running network wires.
  • The contractor primed walls near the mailboxes and the network closet for wallpaper.
  • Conduit and the junction box were installed for the TV enclosure data drops.
