NOTICE: The Medical Education Building Air Handling Unit Replacement project continues with the ongoing replacement of the two air handling units that serve the Perdido Street/Bolivar Street corner of the 4th and 5th Floors.  The next two air handling units to be replaced serve the Bolivar Street/MEB Loading Dock corner (Quadrant C) of the 4th and 5th Floors.  Installation of these units will start at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2009.

Facility Services needs to remove and relocate the temporary power breakers for the temporary air conditioning units that were set up for the Roman Street/MEB Loading Dock corner (Quadrant A).  Consequently, there will be an electrical outage on Thursday, September 3rd from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM to remove the temporary breakers.  During this outage there will be no power to equipment plugged into receptacles in labs and offices that are served out of main panels DL6A and DL7A which affects panels LA6A, LA6B, LA6C, LA6D, LA6E, LA6F, LA7A, LA7B, LA7C, LA7D, LA7E and LA7F.  Receptacles are labeled in the labs, identifying the panel that supplies the power to the receptacle. 

On Friday, September 4th there will be an electrical outage from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM to install temporary breakers to serve the power panels for the temporary air conditioning units in the Bolivar Street/MEB Loading Dock corner (Quadrant C).  During this outage there will be no power to equipment plugged into receptacles in labs and offices that are served out of main panels DL5C which affects panels LC5A, LC5B, LC5C, LC5D, LC5E and LC5F.  Receptacles are labeled in the labs, identifying the panel that supplies the power to the receptacle. 

1542 TULANE AVE. :

• The contractor re-routed the fire sprinkler piping in the garage at the 1st Floor ADA ramp. 
• The contractor completed the remediation and passed clearances at the 2nd Floor Garage Corridor entry.
• Crews leveled the flooring in Room 122F (Womens Restroom) and installed new stair treads in the auditorium

  DENTAL SCHOOL AUDITORIUM A & B RENOVATIONS:

• The A/V contractor is making programming adjustments to the A/V and podium equipment in Auditorium B.

EXTERIOR/LANDSCAPING:

• Facility Services began the demolition of asphalt around the perimeter of the T-lot in preparation for the new landscaping.

MEB AIR HANDLING UNIT REPLACEMENT:

• Facility Services monitored and adjusted the temporary A/C units on the 4th and 5th floor Quadrant D (corner of Bolivar Street and Perdido Street ).
• The contractor continued electrical and controls for air handling units 4-D and 5-D. 

MEB 7th FLOOR PHYSIOLOGY LABS RENOVATION:

• The contractor continued installing light fixtures in Rooms 7221 and 7244.
• The contractor relocated sprinkler heads in Rooms 7221, 7241, 7244, and 7250.

RESIDENCE HALL 2nd FLOOR LOBBY EXPANSION:

• The A/V contractor programmed the digital signage display in the expanded lobby area.

RESOURCE CENTER ROOF REPLACEMENT:

• The contractor lowered five roof drains and applied the two ply temporary roof system on the South Prieur Street and Tulane Avenue corner of the roof.
