LSUHSC-NO Quality Enhancement Plan:
"Be Well - Student Success and Wellness"
Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO) is committed to fostering a healthier Louisiana through education, research, health care, and community partnerships. As a leading academic health sciences center with six schools, LSUHSC-NO plays a pivotal role in shaping the future health professions workforce.
Recognizing the crucial connection between student wellness and success, LSUHSC-NO has identified student wellness as a strategic priority. This commitment stems from the understanding that student success—encompassing academic achievement, engagement, satisfaction, and overall well-being—directly impacts not only students' personal and professional outcomes but also the quality of patient care they provide.
Through the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) titled "Be Well: Student Success and Wellness", LSUHSC-NO aims to enhance student success and wellness by achieving two primary goals:
The QEP focuses on four key pillars: mental, physical, financial, and academic health. These areas are vital to equipping students with the resources and skills they need to thrive personally, academically, and professionally. |
Developed through broad institutional input, "Be Well" reflects the enthusiasm and dedication of LSUHSC-NO’s students, faculty, and leadership. The QEP represents a bold step forward in reshaping how LSUHSC-NO supports its students. By prioritizing wellness, LSUHSC-NO seeks to empower students to achieve their personal and professional goals while ultimately improving health outcomes in the communities they serve.
