EndNote is a reference and citation manager with an installed desktop application and web version. Users can import references from databases or text files, attach files such as PDFs, organize references by groups and tags, and collaborate with others with shared groups.

The EndNote desktop application is available for both Windows and Macintosh operating systems. The file installation will depend on which operating system you have as well as whether it is an institutional workstation or your personal device.

EndNote Web also provides much of the functionality of the desktop application (registration via the desktop application required to access EndNote Web).
