Writing a paper? Let reference librarian, Molly Knapp show you how to create a bibliography in seconds by importing references from PubMed and other resources into this web-based bibliography and database manager.

General Library Systems

Start at the beginning. Learn how to navigate INNOPAC, the library’s online catalog, search PubMed , and become familiar with ILLiad, the library’s interlibrary loan system in this class taught by reference librarian, Carolyn Bridgewater.

Plug in to our resources from the comfort of your home, office or favorite coffeehouse. Reference librarian, Kathy Kerdolff will lead you on a tour of the library’s electronic resources including online textbooks, PDA downloads, and USMLE and board review resources.

Need a library introduction? Join Carolyn Bridgewater today from 12-1pm in the library computer lab 401K for an introductory class which provides an overview of the Library’s resources and services.

Get your Google on — Today (4/17) from 12-1pm in the library computer lab

Julie Schiavo, Dental Librarian and Google extraordinaire, will teach the class Advanced Googling TODAY in the Library Computer Lab 401K from 12-1pm.

Join us to learn tricks and tips for a more focused search, as well as some of the products Google offers such as Google Scholar, Images, and Book Search. We will also discuss how to evaluate the information found on the internet and what should be trusted.

RefWorks: let your bibliography write itself

Do you know about RefWorks? It is an online bibliographic management tool. In plain English, it’s a place to save your references for a paper or research, and later format them into bibliographies. You can even import articles directly from PubMed, EbscoHost, and a many other databases. With RefWorks you can say goodbye to writing down citations & thumbing through the APA style manual an hour before the paper is due, RefWorks does the work for you!

In conjunction with Medical Information Day 2007, the Isch?â?® Library will be offering 5 unique classes in April.

We will be offering the following classes from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on the following days:
