A new selection of articles has been added to the Faculty Publications display in the Ische Library. These eight articles, as well as all of the articles in our Faculty Publications database, are authored by at least one member of our research community here at LSUHSC-New Orleans. Each month the Library is proud to present copies of eight of these publications in a rotating display of 16. They can be viewed in the Reference area, on the wall between the main entrance and the Library elevator, on the third floor of the Resource Center Building.

Graphic Medicine: Ill-Conceived and Well-Drawn

What happens when health-related issues and cartoons merge? A National Library of Medicine exhibit called, “Graphic Medicine: Ill-Conceived and Well-Drawn!”.  The exhibit will open next week, May 21^st-June 8^th, in the John P. Isché Library Commons. Learn about the latest medical oriented graphic novels and where to find them. After a three week run in the Commons, the display will then arrive at the Dental Campus for the following dates of June 13th-29^th. So, check out the National Library of Medicine exhibition; “Graphic Medicine: Ill-Conceived and Well-Drawn!”.

Isché Library — Early Closure 5/18/2018

The Isché Library will close at 5pm on Friday, May 18th due to a chilled water outage in the Resource Center Building from 5pm until 12am. During the outage there will not be any air conditioning anywhere in the entire building.

Between the hours of 7am and 12pm, the elevators in the Roman Street Parking Garage will be out of service. The Automatic Transfer Switch is being replaced.

Roman Street Parking Garage Closure

The elevator lobby on the 1st floor of the Roman Street parking garage will be closed over the weekend. The closure is due to completing the final phase of the parking garage resurfacing project. The closure will begin at 8am Saturday February 3rd and will reopen at 6am Monday February 5th.

Libraries are open!

Both Libraries and both campuses are open once again. Fingers crossed for no more freezing weather!

Campus Closure Extended Again

Both the downtown and the dental campuses will remain closed on Friday, January 19th. The rest of the weekend is a question mark, depending on water pressure.

If water pressure to our buildings improves, then the downtown library will open on Saturday and both libraries will reopen on Sunday.

*Edit* water pressure continues to be insufficient for plumbing use. The Libraries remain closed for the weekend.

The Libraries and both the downtown and dental campuses will remain closed on Wednesday, January 17th. The Libraries plan to reopen on Thursday, January 18th at 8am.
