The Dental Library will be operating on a summer schedule from June 4 – July 15, 2017.
Our summer hours will be:
8:00-6:00 Monday – Thursday
8:00-5:00 Friday
Closed Saturday & Sunday.
We will resume normal hours on Sunday, July 16th: 11:30-8:00.
The Isché Library will close at 10pm Sunday through Thursday and at 6pm on Fridays for June and July.
It will continue to be open 7 days a week and open at its normal times of 8am Monday through Friday, 9:30am on Saturday and 12noon on Sundays.

A new selection of articles has been added to the Faculty Publications display in the Ische Library. These eight articles, as well as all of the articles in our Faculty Publications database, are authored by at least one member of our research community here at LSUHSC-New Orleans. Each month the Library is proud to present copies of eight of these publications in a rotating display of 16. Both Libraries will have shortened hours Thursday, April 13. Isché library will close at 8pm and the Dental Library will close at 5pm. The Libraries will remain closed through the weekend, Friday, April 14 – Sunday April 16. Normal hours for both libraries will resume Monday, April 17.

The Isché Library is pleased to host the National Library of Medicine/National Institutes of Health display: Pictures of Nursing: the Zwerdling Postcard Collection, which explores the relationship of nursing to events in 20th-century life and how nursing was perceived. The exhibit will be in the Library Commons from Monday, March 24th through Friday April 21st.
We are pleased to announce that The Developing Human: Clinically Oriented Embryology, 10th edition, is now available in an Ebook format.

The print edition is on reserve for ANAT 100 – Gross Anatomy and ANAT 101 – Human Prenatal Development. But we think you’ll find the electronic edition to be much lighter.

The Libraries will have shortened hours surrounding Carnival.
- Friday, February 24th both the Dental and Isché Libraries close at 5 pm.
- Saturday, February 25th the Isché Library will be open regular hours from 9:30 am to 6 pm & the Dental Library will be closed.
- Sunday, February 26th the Dental Library will be open regular hours from 11:30 am to 8 pm & the Isché Library will be open 12 noon to 8:30 pm.
- Monday, February 27th both Libraries will be open 8 am to 5 pm.
- Tuesday, February 28th both Libraries will be closed for Mardi Gras.
- Wednesday, March 1st the Dental Library will be open 8 am to 5 pm. The Isché Library will be open regular hours 8 am to 12 midnight.
- Thursday, March 2nd the Dental Library will be open 8 am to 5 pm. The Isché Library will be open regular hours 8 am to 12 midnight.
Prosthetics & orthotics in clinical practice, by Bella J. May, is now available online through the EBSCOhost eBooks platform, as well as through the R2 Digital Library. The Library was able to purchase multiple-user access through EBSCO, so now more than one user can access the book at the same time. Our R2 Digital Library access for this book allows for one user at a time.
