*Edit 7/2/2024 2:30pm – the Commons area is now reopened for use.
The main study area of the downtown Library Commons will be closed on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 for carpet tile replacement and may still be closed on Wednesday, July 3rd.
*Edit* Monday, July 1 – only one side of the TV area was completed on Friday, the other side will be worked on today.
The Library Commons area with the television monitors will be closed tomorrow, June 28, 2024 for carpet replacement. The furniture will be moved out of those spaces into the tiled area, so there will be some noise while this is happening.
All the carpet is being replaced on the 3rd floor of the Isché Library. The work started yesterday, June 25, 2024. The work will take a couple of weeks to complete. But during that time library services may be interrupted. Poster printing has been offline since Monday evening. And there will be no popcorn tomorrow, June 27th. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Sections of the Library Commons will be unavailable while the carpet is being replaced in those areas. Stay tuned to hear when.
*Edit* Popcorn is back on! We can get to the popcorn machine again!

During the week of February 26, 2024, and March 4, 2024, crews will be on the 5th Floor to remove the items and shelving from the Prieur Street side of the floor. It will be very noisy while they work and we will also need to limit the seating in the immediate area.
The tables and carrels on the Bolivar Street side of the 5th Floor may offer some respite from the noise, along with the study areas on the 3rd and 4th Floors.
While this is happening, please be courteous to others who may have relocated due to the disruption on the 5th Floor.

A new selection of articles has been added to the Faculty Publications display in the Isché Library. These eight articles, as well as all the articles in LSU Health Digital Scholar, are authored by at least one member of our research community here at LSUHSC-New Orleans. Each month the Library is proud to present copies of eight of these publications in a rotating display of 16. Check out the display below:
