On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, EZproxy will be unavailable for two to three hours for server maintenance. During this time, links from the Library’s catalog, E-Journals & E-Books AtoZ List, Databases, and most other links from Library resources may not work correctly.
If you are off campus, you can log into many resources directly by using OpenAthens. A list of sites where you can do so and instructions are available on the OpenAthens LibGuide.
If you are on campus, please contact us and we can provide links to resources while the system is unavailable.

The Resource Center Building which includes the downtown Isché Library and the Library Commons will be completely without power from 6pm until 9pm on Friday, March 17th. The Library will close at 5:30pm to allow for a cushion for everyone to leave before the power is turned off. The Library will reopen at 9:30am on Saturday morning as usual.
We know that the ongoing network problems are frustrating. If you are having difficulty accessing a book or article, please consider reaching out to the Library. We may still be able to assist by guiding you through a workaround or by sending an article if we are able to access it. We may even have resources in our print collection that can help.

UPDATE July 1, 2022: As of early this morning, the problem was fixed and the Library Catalog, logging in with a barcode and PIN, and the link resolver are all working as expected. If you have any trouble or need assistance, please contact us.
ORIGINAL POST June 30, 2022: Due to a problem with our hosting company, the Library Catalog/INNOPAC is currently not available. This outage also affects logging in with a barcode and PIN via EZproxy, as well as some functionality of our link resolver.
This is affecting all customers, and we will update once we have more information.
On May 19, 2022, starting at 11pm all Lippincott Williams and Wilkins (LWW) journals and other journals on the Ovid platform will be unavailable for approximately an hour.
Some LWW journals are available via alternate methods, but hopefully this outage will prove to be just a slight interruption.
If you have any questions or need any assistance with Library resources, please contact us.
The Isché Library internal elevator is out of service. If you need assistance accessing the upper floors of the downtown library, please ask the circulation desk staff for assistance in using the freight elevator. We apologize for the inconvenience.
UPDATE: The system is up and running, but contact us if you have any problems.
At 10am on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, INNOPAC, the Library’s online catalog will not be available for at least one hour. During this time you will also not be able to log into EZproxy using your Library barcode and PIN. The WebBridge Link Resolver is affected by this outage as well.
UPDATE: INNOPAC is back up and running as of 1pm, October 19, 2021. If you encounter any issues, though, please contact us.
At 9am on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, INNOPAC, the Library’s online catalog will not be available for at least six hours. During this time you will also not be able to log into EZproxy using your Library barcode and PIN. The WebBridge Link Resolver is affected by this outage as well.
INNOPAC, our library system, will not be available starting at 12:45pm on Thursday, November 21st, and it could be out for at least two hours. This outage means that you will not be able to look up anything through the Library’s online catalog, and the link resolver in all databases will not work as well. There are, however, other options to find the resources you need during this time.
The Discovery/EDS Health search will still function and can help you locate a specific journal, book, or article:
There are many options presented that will still work, but some do rely on the system in order to work. As a result, any options to check the Library’s catalog or to use the WebBridge Link Resolver will not be available. However, particularly in the case of articles, there are many other options that can get you to what you need:
If you need to access any resource when off-campus, you will need to use your LSUHSC-NO e-mail and password through OpenAthens; you will not be able to log in using your Library barcode and PIN while the system is unavailable:
In PubMed, you may be able to get to articles directly using the Library’s link resolver even though the system is unavailable. Since we are using the LibKey Link service in conjunction with our link resolver, if a direct link to the PDF of an article is available, then you will bypass our link resolver. However, if this direct link is not possible and our link resolver would be needed in order to find available full-text or get the article through InterLibrary Loan, you will be unable to proceed while the system is down.
You can also use the LibKey Nomad Chrome browser extension to access journals in PubMed or from publishers’ sites. This will be particularly useful in PubMed, as the extension indicates which articles are available through the Library’s subscriptions. However, since the Library’s link resolver will not be available, only those citations that have “Download PDF” or “Article Link” will work during our system outage:
Even though INNOPAC, the Library’s catalog, will not be available, Library staff will have other ways to get to journals and resources during this downtime, so please contact us if you need help.
Update: As of Monday, January 25, we are able to access JAPMA for 1996 to present.
Original post: We have lost all online access to articles for the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. The Library does have print issues for 1985 through 2005, and we are working to have the problem resolved.
If you need help with this or any other Library resources, contact us.
