LSU Health New Orleans Infectious Diseases faculty professors Drs. Julio Figueroa and Joanne Maffei, along with Dr. Joseph Kanter, Assistant State Health Officer at the Louisiana Department of Health who is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Emergency Medicine at LSU Health New Orleans, will present. Dr. Maffei will cover clinical information and infection control precautions. Dr. Kanter will share the public health perspective. Dr. Figueroa, who also serves as LSU Health’s Chief of the Section of Infectious Diseases, will provide an update on virology and vaccine information.
