Miranda Mitchell, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at LSU Health New Orleans’ Baton Rouge Regional Campus, is the only Louisiana recipient of the American Medical Women’s Association’s (AMWA) 2023 INSPIRE Award. Dr. Mitchell was honored for exemplary leadership, mentorship and a deep commitment to changing the culture of medicine.
According to AMWA, the INSPIRE Awards, announced by the AMWA Leadership Council, champion women physicians who personally and/or professionally provide inspiration to women in medicine through expert and compassionate patient-centered medical care, mentorship, or service to the community.______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans (LSU Health New Orleans) educates Louisiana's health care professionals.
