In this topic the timekeeper will learn how to print the Time Detail Report. There are four steps the timekeeper completes in order to create and view the report.
Step 1: Create a run control containing the parameters of the report, such as payroll period start and end dates, department numbers or employee ID numbers.
Step 2: Send the report parameters to the server that runs the report.
Step 3: Monitor the report process to determine if the report ran successfully.
Step 4: View and print the report.
Steps:
Click the Main Menu button.
Step 1Point to the LSUHSC Processes menu.
Step 2Point to the Time and Labor menu.
Step 3Point to the Report menu.
Step 4Click the Time Details Report menu.
Step 5Step 1: Run Control ID.
The first time you print the Time Detail Report, you must create a Run Control.
Note: Thereafter, when you print the Time Detail Report, you will click the Find an Existing Value Tab and select an existing Run Control ID.
Click the Add a New Value tab.
Step 6Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field. Enter
A Run Control ID must be created to run the Time Detail Report. The same Run Control ID can be used when running the Time Detail Report in the future.
A Run Control ID is:
1. Specific to the end-user Operator ID
2. Can be entered in upper, lower or mixed case.
3. Must be one continuous string of words (maximum of 30 characters). If it consists of more than one word the Run Control ID cannot contain a blank space between the words or must be connected by an underscore.
Step 8Click the Add button.
Note: Whenever you run the Time Detail Report in the future, you will Search for or enter you Run Control ID on the Find an Existing Value tab.
Step 9Enter the Start Date and End Date for the Pay Period.
Step 10In this exercise you will run the Time Detail Report for the entire department.
Enter the desired information into the Department field. Enter "NO1490500".
Step 11Click the Save button.
Step 12Step 2: Send the report parameters to the server to run the report.
Click the Run button.
Step 13Click the Server Name list.
Step 14Click the PSNT list item.
Step 15Click the OK button.
Step 16Step 3: Monitor the process monitor to determine if the report ran successfully.
Click the Process Monitor link.
Step 17In the Process List, you want the Run Status = Success and the Distribution Status = Posted.
Click the Refresh button until the Run Status = Success and the Distribution Status = Posted.
Note: Wait 10 -15 seconds between clicks to allow for system processing.
Step 18After receiving a Run Status = Success and Distribution Status = Posted.
Click the Go back to Time Details Report link.
Step 19Step 4: Access the Report Manager to view and print the report.
Click the Report Manager link.
Step 20Click the Time Details Link.
Step 21The Time Detail Report will open in a new window in a PDF format.
Step 22The Manager and Supervisor's approval Signature is on the last page of the report.
Step 23Click the close the Report.
Step 24Click the Go back to Time Details Report link.
Step 25In this exercise, you will run the Time Detail Report for one employee.
Enter the 7-digit employee ID number, into the Empl ID field. Enter "0000000".
Step 26Click the Delete row button to remove the Department number.
Step 27Click the OK button.
Step 28Click the Run button.
Step 29If the Server Name is already selected; click the OK button to continue, or select the PSNT server from the drop-down list.
Step 30Click the Process Monitor link.
Step 31Click the Refresh button.
