NEW: Intramural Funding for Medical Student Research

The Dean of the School of Medicine has generously offered to fund medical student research supplies via the Medical Student Research Enhancement Program (MSREP). If you have accepted a medical student to work in your lab and you would like to request MSREP funding, the student will have to write a small grant proposal. They are required to write the proposal themselves following the instructions below (with your guidance).  It does not need to be sent to Sponsored Projects. A review committee will score proposals and make a recommendation to the Dean of the School of Medicine. The deadline has been extended to February 15th.

If your research does not need funding, your student does not need to apply for the MSREP to work in your lab.

Please address any questions to Connie Romaine in the Clinical Trials Office (cto@lsuhsc.edu) or Dr. Fern Tsien, Assistant Dean for Medical Student Research (fmille@lsuhsc.edu).
