LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans has established the Clinical/Translational Research Initiative to:
-
Address the challenges facing clinician/scientists identified in a white paper by the Research Council chaired by Dr. Nicolas Bazan
-
Change the research culture to better support clinical research
-
Improve the success of our recruitment and retention efforts in this area
-
Enhance the development of future clinician/scientists, thus strengthening our clinical research enterprise
Focus groups were charged with identifying problems and solutions associated with clinical/translational research Initiative. The focus group reports, as well as the white paper are posted below. Implementation of the Initiative will soon begin.
