FEDERALWIDE ASSURANCE AND IRB REGISTRATION
Federalwide Assurance (FWA)
LSUHSC-NO has filed a Federalwide Assurance (FWA) with the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), in which we promise to uphold federal regulations and ethical principles for human subjects research conducted by employees, agents, and affiliates of LSUHSC-NO. LSUHSC-NO has written a Statement of Compliance describing our plan to comply with ethical and legal requirements for the conduct and oversight of Human Subjects Research.
IRB Registration
All institutions and their IRBs designated in an FWA, or IRB's that review Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated research, must be registered with the DHHS.
