- New Orleans is a very vibrant place and there are a lot of extracurricular activities one can do. Most of the weekend have some sort of festival going on. Some of the biggest being Mardi Gras, French quarter fest, Jazz festival etc. It is a very warm and welcoming city. However, one must also be careful about their own safety.

- Most of the festivals and entertainmentare usually free except festivals like Jazz fest. New Orleans is a popular tourist destination and gets busy around Holidays, Weekends, Football season and Concerts. (The Smoothie King Center and the Superdome are just a block away from Campus)
