Outlook Support
LSUHSC supports Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Web App, and ActiveSync connectivity for email. When using Microsoft Outlook from off-campus you must either use Outlook Anywhere or VPN. With Exchange 2013, Outlook Anywhere will be needed on-campus as well.
Outlook How To Topics
Steps to Configure an Outlook Profile to use Outlook Anywhere
A Microsoft Outlook client that is configured to use Outlook Anywhere allows LSUHSC
users to access their mailboxes from outside the network without having to be connected
through the VPN. The instructions that follow are the manual way to set up Outlook Anywhere. This
is now the default "setup" when you allow Outlook to Automatically configure your
email with your LSUHSC email account.
Note: Clients must use Microsoft Outlook 2007 or newer. When using Outlook Anywhere to
connect to your LSUHSC mailbox, you will be prompted for your user name and password
every time that you open Microsoft Outlook from off network. When entering your user
name, precede your user name with the domain name lsumc-master, followed by a backslash,
e.g. lsumc-master\UserID
