Consortial Agreements & Partnerships
The LSUHSC-New Orleans Libraries partner with other libraries and consortia to share
resources and reduce subscription costs.
Partnerships:
LSUHSC-Shreveport Library : Shares Library Catalog, INNOPAC, and the following online journal packages: JAMA, Ovid - LWW Total Access Collection, AJOT, and AASLD, and ScienceDirect.
LSUHSC-Shreveport Library and Pennington Biomedical Research Center Library: Shares New England Journal of Medicine subscriptions.
Tulane Rudolph Matas Library of the Health Sciences: Provides reciprocal borrowing for patrons.
Consortia:
Louisiana Digital Consortium: Coordinates access to the Louisiana Digital Library to preserve and promote the culture and history of Louisiana.
The Louisiana Library Network (LOUIS) : Provides access to a large number of electronic resources, including EBSCOhost, NexisUni, OCLC, and ProQuest, based on a membership fee. Smaller groups within LOUIS partner to subscribe to Annual Reviews, Chronicle of Higher Education, CINAHL, HaPI, PsycArticles and PsycBooks, SAGE Premier, Science, ThirdIron, and Web of Science. LOUIS also provides reciprocal borrowing of materials by patrons from academic libraries within the state of Louisiana.
Oklahoma Health Sciences Library Consortium (includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas): Coordinates consortial pricing to Stat!Ref, StatPearls, and DITKI.
South Central Academic Medical Library Consortium (SCAMeL) : Provides free interlibrary loans to partner libraries and coordinates shared subscriptions
for online resources based on a membership fee. Subscriptions include BMJ, Cold Spring
Harbor Protocols, LWW Health Library including Bates Visual Guide to Physical Examination
and Board Review Series, Mary Ann Liebert, PsychiatryOnline, and Nature.
Other:
CALL (Council on Academic Libraries Liaison): Provides reciprocal borrowing of materials by patrons from academic libraries within the New Orleans area.
