Reporting to the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Library Administration is responsible for the management of two campus libraries – the John P. Isché Library and the Dental Library.

Library Administration is responsible for organizing and supervising the activities of both Libraries. The activities of the librarians and staff support the educational mission of the University and the activities of the six schools that comprise the Health Sciences Center campuses in New Orleans.

Additionally, Library Administration serves as the coordinating point with library consortia such as LOUIS, the Louisiana Library Network and SCAMeL, the South Central Academic Medical Libraries Consortium. Library Administration is the point of contact for all HSC units.
